Okay, so we ran into a problem with our our wedding venue. Our church doesn't have a center aisle. I don't know if it's gonna be possible to separate the chairs to make a center aisle. In remedy, my sister Tara came up with a great idea. Instead of a center aisle, we're going to have both the groomsmen and the bridesmaids to walk down the aisle together. The bridesmaids will walk down the right hand aisle and the groomsmen on the left. When they reach the end of the aisle, they will meet in the middle, before going onto the stage, do a spin together with the "near touch palms" so everyone can see them and their dresses. My dad and I will do the same. Meet in the middle, spin in front so everyone can see us. Then after he "gives me away" he'll escort me to the stairs on the left side to go up onto the stage. Jason will then take my hand and we will walk hand in hand to the middle of the stage. We will not do the near touch. When everyone leaves, Jason and I will leave via the right stair case, cross in front of the church and walk down the left aisle. The bridal party will then go down the stairs they came up, meet in the middle, do a turn and walk down the opposite aisle they came down. That way our guests all get to see everyone's outfits at some point while they walk down the aisle.
It might seem a bit theatrical, but I love it and it's romantic. The wedding will be very romanic. Now the reception on the other hand will be a big crazy party.
Haha in line with the titanicish theme, the wedding will be a first class party and the reception will be a 3rd class party.
